That's better than game 6 of the WS.

Better than several NBA Finals games as well.

As I've said, this game has surpassed OSU vs Mich for "the game"

Holy shite

To put Saturday’s numbers in perspective, the game averaged a higher rating and more viewers than six of this year’s seven World Series games, including Game 6 (9.6, 16.55M).

Maybe but the 2018 NBA Finals Avg rating was a 10 with the biggest stars of the game, LeBron and Steph. That’s not far off. Amazing for a regular season college football game.

If OSU and UM were #2 and #3 at the time of The Game, it would draw more.

I agree. OSU and UM have way larger national fan base than Alabama and LSU.

Maybe.

Those schools should work on making that happen.

Regardless, splitting hairs here with that hypothetical ...these viewership numbers for 2019 AlabamaLSU are outrageous for any CFB regular season game.

The irony is that it was probably millions of Ohioans watching Joe Burrow play that led to those large numbers. Ohio St fans absolutely love Joe Burrow. Just an FYI, Ohio St vs Michigan had 13.2 million viewers last year.

Any hour-by-hour numbers? I have to believe it probably started at 8 million and went up by halftime

When OSU & MICH were 1 & 2 in 2006 it out drew this game, so no. But I am not surprised that you would somehow turn this into an OSU discussion.

Even more reason for the SEC to tell them get fricked when they are approached for an extension.

The viewers were up there b/c as others pointed out, Burrow got the Ohio viewers, every SEC fan base watched hoping LSU would win, and all your big programs were watching like Clemson and Oklahoma wanting someone to beat Bama b/c they are sick and tired of them.

That's a lot of people who got to watch Bama get their shite packed in by Joe Burrow.

Impressive.

But these numbers always remind me that 95% of the population doesn’t much care.
