Three has been rising tension between Jurich and the board for weeks now. John Schnatter who is on the board basically called out Jurich a while back.

I think Jurich knew this was coming

What was the attitude around Jurich prior to yesterday? Seems like a pretty decent AD. Never was a big fan of Teflon Don Pitino but LVille made their presence shortly after jolting C-USA

He was probably one of the best athletic directors in college sports over the last generation. Where he took Louisville's athletic program when he got there to where it is now is pretty astounding. He was the only person more bullet proof than Pitino at that university.

Some cracks started to appear with the foundation scandal a few years ago and then the hooker thing, but he was still widely loved and respected. I think he got power hungry. This one is going to hurt Louisville beyond even the athletic program or university.

Maybe the Feds will investigate shitty eating habits, indict Bert and we can hire Bobby back.

would be the best thing to happen to arkansas football in a long time. long can sell it as "bobby's changed". i know season ticket sales would go back up.

Can you drop him an email about the Nebraska job being open? I don't care about the hookers. Or even the cheating as long as the feds stay out of it. Just some sport of ours to be relevant. thx

I imagine Pitino's contract HAS to have some kind of "Fired with Cause" clause that allows Louisville to get out of it at a deeply discounted buyout.

Because he is definitely getting fired for Cause.

Is this worse than what happened at SMU?

Federal criminal complaints accuse at least one coach at a "public research university located in Kentucky" -- identified as Louisville -- of taking part in a scheme to funnel about $100,000 from Adidas to an All-America high school player whom the Cardinals were recruiting.

I'm sure if he is fired with cause for something like this they don't have to pay anything. I'm also sure Petino will claim innocence and fight for his 45 million.

so that's why Jurich's meeting took 5 minutes and Pitino's took less than 5 minutes

ESPN. ESPN has a hard-on mouthy, arrogant former coaches, especially with a connection to New York City.

The deal is probably already in place.

That Interim President isn't fricking around. He was specifically brought in to clean up the mess from Ramsey and they just kept giving him the ammo to do what he needed to do.

Us LSU fans already called dibs for when we hopefully get rid of Alleva.

That's honestly amazing but not surprising. Tom Jurich has controlled the city of Louisville for years now and thought he had one more power move left.

IMO the game changed when Ramsey was fired. He was the one that was the buffer that allowed Jurich to whatever he wanted to do.

Not if he was doing something illegal. He could actually be liable to the university now.
