I’m not a gambler except for fantasy football.
Is it legal to gamble online in Louisiana? If so, what site(s) will legally pay out your sports wagers?

Under Louisiana revised statute § 14:90.3, online gambling in the state is specifically and explicitly prohibited:
"Gambling by computer is the intentional conducting, or directly assisting in the conducting as a business of any game, contest, lottery, or contrivance whereby a person risks the loss of anything of value in order to realize a profit when accessing the internet…"
Not enough palms have been greased for it to be allowed yet. It was shot down in the legislature in 2018. I believe it can be brought back up again in 2020.

Honestly at this point, I don't care if someone pockets money. We need online betting and sports books in Louisiana.

Anyone supporting and abiding by that law isn’t a real American

You have any issues with Bovada paying you out?

No issues, I use bitcoin. Not sure if there is issues with checks.

I cashed out $500 a few weeks ago. Got a Canadian check for $500.14 (via Fedex that required a signature) and was unable to cash it. Had to deposit it and wait a couple of days to withdraw.
Last week I did bitcoin withdraw and had it in my wallet within 24 hours.

You mean deposit into your regular bank and wait for it to clear and go into checking/savings?
Also, I’m bitcoin ignorant. Please school me on bitcoin.

Correct. Once cleared, I withdrew it.

Don't know too much about it as I am new to it as well. I only setup an account to transfer more money out of Bovada. I used Coinbase Wallet.

First question the answer is No, but its impossible for them to enforce it, so dont worry about it. The local books are the ones that can get in trouble, not the bettors.
2nd question I have a local with a website that I can hook you up with in Louisiana. Paypal is the preferred method.
Any offshore book will legally pay you. It can be a pain to fund and collect through some books. Bitcoin is faster but an even more PIA. I recommend Bookmaker.eu if you go that route.

Where do u live? Drive to the coast. Or if you know someone in Mississippi get them to go for you and move the money through PayPal.
