Looking back. Lakers should have beaten Pistons in 04 and Celtics in 08.

Kobe should have won two more rings.

Especially in 2008 when they took Celtics to 6 games.

Thoughts?

In 2004 only one person could stop Shaq...and it wasn't Ben Wallace.

It was Kobe. Kobe is the reason the Lakers lost in 2004.

And I should have fricked Vida Guerra, but I didn’t.

2008 Celtics were the better team imo. The Lakers had space cadet Vladimir Radmanovic out there playing heavy minutes with Bynum injured. And Gasol/Odom got pushed around pretty badly by Boston’s front court

That series made the Lakers a lot tougher afterwards and is a big reason they learned what it took to win those back to back rings in 09/10

Looking back, Portland fell apart to give him a ring in 2000.

That's how I always feel about the threads where they say Brady could have nine. Yeah, but he got the tuck rule, Seattle brain fart, and Atlanta melt to help win three of them. So, it kind of evens out.

Pistons dominated them, the better team won.

Celtics could and should have won in 2010. Perkins getting injured turned that series in the Lakers favor

Yep and Kobe admitted this in that interview he did with Shaq a couple of years ago.

Seems like a regrettable mistake on your part.

That 08 Celtics team was the first “big three super team” and no one was beating them.

They were the best team that season but let’s remember the 8 seed Hawks pushed them to 7. And this isn’t SAS vs DAL 2014 where Dallas won 49 games. That Hawks team won 37 games and had Mike Woodson coaching them.

I was a Kobe stan and Lakers bandwagon fan as a kid. Boston was decisively better in 2008. The lakers did well to split the two championship series with Boston in 2008 and 2010.

That pistons group all complimented each other so well. Just an amazing example of a TEAM achieving the ultimate goal.

Malone and The Glove thought they were gonna strap in for an easy ring in 04 too. That Pistons team was special.
