The Saints are $100 million over the cap as is and have nothing to trade for him without fielding an XFL roster next season. Outside of the teams with entrenched starters (KC, GB, Buff, etc), they are the least likely trade partner.

These giant QB contracts totally hamstring and organization and that's just not how Belichick operates. If he could get him to take a small paycut, say to $25 mil/yr, he may be more inclined to pull the trigger on Stafford.
A team that trades for Stafford would be inheriting him on a 2 year/43 million dollar contract
Having a minimum contract QB hamstrung the Patriots more than any contract ever could. I don’t think BB wants to experience that shite again.
