Bold strategy to stick with that philosophy.

I hear you, but 5he offense had an immediate improvement. He brought in a QB and a WR and built his team to score points. It has been his MO and it keeps biting him in the arse.

No you don’t

He made an immediate splash that will pay dividends at USC.

Would his perception as a coach be better if they were 8-4 with a mediocre offense that slows the game down and a mediocre defense?

You’re jumping to major conclusions here. He’s going to get USC churning and it will be good for the sport of college football

You have high expectations for his 1st year at SC.

Let's look at Ohio state at Maryland with an established head coach at his program.

frick me....you have me defending SC. frick you

Or he will be exactly what he was at OU, dominant in a weaker conference to make the playoffs and flame out. Who knows, but it is hard to keep winning 48-45 games.

And how many points did Saban give up to Tennessee and LSU?

100 combined?

Clemson in years past?

Its a stud QB game. Even Saban admitted after getting boat-raced by Clemson. Its an outscore sport now, nobody can stop great QB play, they can only stop teams with shitty QBs.

He has a much better recruiting footprint where he is at now

Being the #2 or #3 team in Texas isn’t the same as being the #1 team on the west coast and Polynesia

I don’t think you’d get any argument from Alabama fans that our defense was a real problem.

I don't understand the hate Lincoln Riley gets. He's a great coach, very young, and its only a matter of time before he wins a national championship.

See why he ran away from the SEC. Bolted the minute OU decided to join.

Outside of Dade - Broward - Palm, he is dead smack middle in the most talent rich region of America and has to share it with no one if he locks it down. Also, it is one of the three or four most prestigious programs in the sport with one of the - if not the single most - wealthiest fan bases in America.

His structural and organizational advantages alone are much stronger in South Central than they ever were in Norman.
