Haynes

I admit I don’t follow Louisiana HS football closely, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard of these schools.

Haynes Academy has been a high school now for about a dozen years. It's the Jefferson Parish east bank equivalent of Ben Franklin HS in Orleans Parish, a magnet school for smart kids.

What's interesting about Haynes is their campus in Old Metairie on Metairie Road, which has been there for over 100 years. It was the site of Metairie Ridge School, and then Metairie High School, which became a middle school/junior high in 1955 when East Jefferson was opened. It served as such for roughly 50 years before once again becoming a high school campus.

I went to Haynes between 1975-1979. It changed from a middle school to a jr. high while I was there.

Leesville looks good on their first drive but Neville forces the punt and scored on their first play from scrimmage.

So I am guessing you are a fellow graduate from that fine institution of learning at 600 Forsythe Avenue?

Garden District? My grandmother lived on K Street for about 60 years. I can't tell you how many Neville games I have walked to from that house.

Can't speak for UHigh. CHS looks solid.

As I say that, just fumbled on UHS 10 yard line.

UHS has switched QBs and is now run heavy with loaded backfield (shotgun). Moving the ball.

13-0 w/ 4:43 in 2nd

Carencro - 6
WM -0

Halftime

I don’t think WM has more than 20 yards offense at halftime.
Carencro scores after getting a 2nd chance due to roughing the punter.

CHS held UHS to a 4th a long w/ 3 mins left on 2nd.

Fake punt.

Cubs 2nd and goal at 6

UHigh fumbles. Bears take over with 44 seconds. No timeouts.

Worst WM offense I’ve ever seen. It’s very likely this is the year Ruston smokes WM.
