So St Charles Catholic wins DII championship in 2019, and then moves down because they lost 12 seniors and complained about enrollment dropping and losing kids to Destrahan, moves down to DIII, wins their district and is now playing for the DIII Title?
sounds like they dropped down from 3A to 2A like a hundred other schools before them

Probably smart as they'd never win a title in 5A...

Pretty sure if they win the division with Catholic, Jesuit, and John Curtis, they’d have a chance in 5A

Brusly has now lost in the semis 5 of the last 8 years. 0-5 in that span

Last 10 titles in combined 5a:

4 for privates (Catholic and Jesuit)

6 for publics(Barbe and northshore)

So yeh, I think winning D1 holds some weight

What do you mean “it sounds like”. That’s exactly what I said

Why are they afraid to compete with Vandy, Ed White, Parkview, Teurlings, UHigh?

Instead they rather play Newman?

Name the ones that won a state title in a higher class one year and the very next year dropped to a lower class and are competing for another title in that lower class all while the higher class they were in is having a down year.

If st charles moved down then why didn’t De La Salle?

So Barbe won as many titles or more as everyone in D1 combined during that span. So how was my statement not true? Barbe is the standard for Louisiana baseball.

I’ll never begrudge a school for playing where their enrollment says they should

Then you wouldn’t have a problem with JC and Evangel playing Div III?

Which is exactly why we have the split. those 1A for 3A schools are still sour from the "play in class years" of course ECA is nothing like they were.... but still unlike nearly everyone in their class. for 99% enrollment is a good barometer.... it's the 1%.
