Lebron may force his way out of LAL if they whiff in Free Agency
quote:

Dave McMenamin: Everyone I speak to associated with LeBron, they are holding the rope for now, and all they can do is be positive because this is going to be a crucial five-week stretch. But on the other side of that, if it’s July 10th in Los Angeles and it’s Nic Vucevic [that the Lakers have had to settle for], or whomever does not meet the criterion of bringing in a star who can make them an immediate contender, you could only imagine where things could go.

Plaschke: I’m hearing that if they whiff on free agency, and if they whiff on a trade, which I don’t know how likely that is, but if that happens, they’ve got big trouble with LeBron. I mean the LeBron era could be over before it starts here. I heard this for the first time yesterday, somebody very connected said ‘You know what, if they whiff, LeBron’s going to say either I’m out of here or get me out of here, or the Lakers just might as well just get him out of here.’ So this is huge.”

For someone who’s always giving the “sacrifice for the team” speech, he does tend to bail on his team a lot.

To be fair, this is almost certainly coming from Klutch/Lebron's people. They want to put pressure on the Lakers to either get a deal done with AD or go all out in Free Agency and not punt to next year.

He's done stuff like this before.

Lmao lebron finding out what we have known for a while now. How could he not know? It beats me. But it is evident that other top end guys do not wanna play with him.

So Pels hold out and send Solo and E'Twaun for Lebron in a few weeks when LeBron demands to play with AD.

I'll allow it.

Harden don’t want him.

Franchise players not wanting to play with lebron is the norm. Not the exception.

Yeah, I can see him crying and bitching, but how exactly does he force his way out of his contract?

Threaten to retire is really the only way.

Unless the NBA doesn't have a clause preventing him from permanently playing with the Toon Squad.
