God damn.

Also, last night Magic Johnson offered Lebron $1 million to participate and win the dunk contest next season. I still don't think he will participate.

Im pretty sure $1 million means nothing to bron. The dunk contest needs to die, its terrible.

Im a Lebron guy, but if anybody but him was doing those dunks nobody would give a shite.

People do those dunks in the dunk contest every year, and lose.

Great dunks. I just want to go on record before this turns into the usual BS, that Vince Carter was at worst the 3rd best dunker of all time.

lebron is a power dunker

he'd have to do some power dunks off two like dominique

i dont see him being an agile dunker

Yeah, the difference is that those guys complete those dunks successfully only after 4-5 attempts. Bron gets it done on the first try.

And I'm not sure too many people in the league can throw those same dunks down with as much power as Bron.

Vince Carter was AT WORST the BEST dunker of all-time.

Yea I was at the Cavs game last weekend where I'm pretty sure one of those was done (I was on the opposite side of the court) but it didn't seem that impressive

Obviously, those pregame dunks are far easier.

The standard that the dunkers are up to is just unfair. They can do a through the legs 180 and the crowd is not that impressed.

There is only so much the human body can do in the time from take off to a dunk. They have exploited most of the possibilities already.

Nah, perception is everything.

Scrubs do much harder dunks than that every dunk contest and nobody cares.

Throwing the ball off the backboard and dunking is nothing new.

That fact that people think those dunks would win a dunk contest goes to show that people don't hate the dunk contest. They hate watching scrubs in dunk contests. Even when they're doing stuff harder than what Lebron is doing. Or Griffin a few years ago. Or Dwight Howard.

I've never seen anyone do the spin, through the legs, lob, to dunk. If he threw a windmill in there, I can't see that losing a dunk contest.

Yeah its creative but it ends the same way as all the others with him just catching it off the backboard.

If we're judging it off of creative ways to throw the ball off the backboard, thats fine.

nate robinson, i believe, did one similar to this. the dunk you described would just be a windmill off the glass, which isn't anything special

this thread is proof that most people don't really give a frick about the actual dunks in the dun contest anymore
