Lebron James is playing his best playoff basketball of his career

This is in year 15, and he’s having his best postseason ever. It’s beyond remarkable, there’s no words to describe greatness at this level.
This is a man who once beat a 73 win team in a finals series while leading all players in the series in points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals (only player to ever do this in any playoff series). And we’re seeing an improved version of that man.
He won a playoff series this season where his teammates shot under 40% (Indy), despite consistently open looks which always come from playing with the willing passer and playmaker that Lebron is. He’s got 2 game winners in this postseason. He’s averaging 33.9/8.9/8.8 on 54.5% shooting. PER is 33.5. 4.3 win shares (next closest is 2.5).
Last night he led his team in points, rebounds, and assists for the 65th time in his playoff career (Next closest (Larry Bird) player in history did it 21 times). Posted a 46-11-9 line on 52% shooting, and yet it seems like just another game for him. Because it is, that’s how good he’s been this postseason. That’s would be a legendary game for a lot of all time greats, and for him it’s routine.
We have become so numb and desensitized to how great he is, but it will be along time before we see a player dominate this league like he has. He’s been the undisputed best player in this league for the last 10 years, at a minimum. I’m not sure any player in history has ever had a 10 year stretch of that. We are very lucky to get to see this, who knows if a player like this will ever come around again in our lifetimes

I agree.
You describe Jordan with words like GOAT.
What do you use to describe number 3? TOAT?

4.3 win shares

It’s silly to argue against him being the GOAT at this point. And I was Team MJ forever.
If you could go create the perfect basketball player in a lab it would be LeBron James.

You in 2009: Wow Lebron isn’t clutch, will never win a ring
You in 2011: Wow had to run and join a super team. He’ll never be in the same class as the best players to ever play
You in 2013: Yeah he has titles but he needed Wade and Bosh to do it
You in 2016: Kyrie made a shot down the stretch in game 7. He can’t even win without his teammates making a few plays now and then.
You now: he’s not even the best player of all time!
It’s been a steady and fast fall from grace for the once mighty and proud Lebron hater. It’s tough to watch and see in person. The ones who still want to die on that hill, need to be put out of their misery and we should swiftly give them that “glory” of dying on the hill. Goodnight sweet prince.

Harden
The only time these two should be mentioned in the same sentence is when talking about basketball players who have had the first or last name of “James”.

Rings are definitely the best way to judge a player. MJ is tied for the 10th best player of all time. Which makes sense because his most impressive finals wins came over Malone and Stockton, who are both in a tie for the very worst players to ever play the game.

Except he'd shoot 85% from the free throw line.

im as big of bron fan as any, but it is so frustrating watching him shoot freethrows. I fully expect him to miss one each time he goes to the line, and very surprised he is even at 85% tbh

Sam Jones 2nd GOAT. Jim Loscutoff and Robert Horry ties for 7th GOAT.

Simply can not argue with that.

He's not at 85%.
He's like a 74% shooter in the playoffs for his career.

I remember when MJ came in the league, and everyone said “That is good, but definitely not Jim Loscutoff good.”
