Jim Brown, Ali, Robinson, and Bill Russell blazed trails and experienced real racial animus. Lebron's career hiccups have been more related to his changing franchises or being compared to other great basketball players.
I am sure there are some people who resent or hate him for his race. But far more dislike him for changing teams or having different politics. That makes his life experiences more similar to Curt Shilling than Medgar Evers.
