Kemba Walker will be a top target in free agency for the Lakers after they reached an agreement in principle to trade for Anthony Davis, according to league sources

He would be taking a pretty massive potential pay cut considering the Lakers dont habe a full max slot and hed be turning down the super max from a place hes pretty open about wanting to stay in

Not in favor of this.

He's a good player but not at his price tag.

Lakers should not go after Kemba, he isn’t worth the money they have to give up. If they were smart, if Kawhi and Kyrie are off the table, you fill your roster out Bogdanivic, Malcom Brogdon, and maybe Tobias Harris with the max slot money. You can fill the rest of the team out with MLEs and Vet mins

I think we are going onto put a hardcore press for kyrie. If that doesn't work, we will probably break the slot up

They would be better off using the cap space on roster depth than another star player. The three stars and scrubs method worked in Miami but that was with peak LeBron instead of 35+ year old LeBron. That team was also one Ray Allen three away from winning only one championship in those five years. You need depth to win big in today's NBA.

Absolutely. You can fill that roster out with a championship team if they play it right

Out a full court press on Kyrie.

Then a half court press on Kemba.

Then if that doesn’t work let’s get 2 nice 3 and D guys or try to lure Harden away from CC.

Spot on. People thinking 35-37 year old LeBron is going to be the same guy we saw a few years ago are in for disappointment.

Kyrie would be the Bosh/klove in the sense he'd get all the blame if things aren't going well and I don't see that ending well

KD tearing his Achilles and Kyrie bombing in Boston opened the door for AD to the Lakers.

It’s going to be glorious to watch the hype and fallout when it doesn’t pan out in a title.

Kemba said he’d take a pay cut just to stay in Charlotte.
