My favorite part of your retort on why lebron shouldn't have been surprised is that it happened a month ago. That made perfect sense.

Why is that your favorite part? If a guy is involved in trade rumors then wants a trade what is surprising about that?

Don't you find it a little peculiar that Lebron is plugged into everything, yet anytime something controversial around him arises Windhorst is there immediately to distance Lebron from it?

They were still a competing team. They're in a rebuild right now.

Thats the difference

Nash was via trade with the Suns.

Last big FA that I can remember them getting was Karl Malone for his final season. Everyone else like Nash, Howard, Pau Gasol, etc were from trades.

This. But not including 40 year old Malone( 36 year old Payton) the biggest free agent signing since Shaq was probably Ron Arstest or Rick Fox.

He's also said if things go right in OKC he would consider signing with them...so what can you believe? He hasn't guaranteed anyone anything. If I were the Lakers I would prepare for a plan B as well.

I'm a Lakers fan also, and I hope it happens, but there's a lot that has to happen for it to come together. Hopefully Magic can pull it off.

the one that all of the insiders covering the sport repeated for a good month instead of the one where he had to answer a question on the spot right in front of the organisation and local media

he's done about as much as he really can

well they pissed that all away when they traded Russell

unless OKC wins the west, I think most people would be surprised if he's still there next year
