Temp does not always mean temp. Just like abscess does not always mean abscess. It’s a way to scratch without questions. May actually be the case for him, though, as he’s had a normal week.
Practical Move most definitely didn’t spike a temp, as something was up with him all week and he barely trained. I still think they were nursing a foot issue on him based on the shoe I glimpsed in a rearing picture.

Gotcha. Makes sense. Just unusual seeing this many scratch in the Derby.
Not that I’m sad about it. But I have thoughts on having that many in the race to begin with.

It should definitely be capped at 14 if the best horse needs to win, but it sure is a spectacle this way
I lean towards believing shirreffs and saw where a filly on the flight may have had a bug. But something else was up with the other horse. I don’t have a lot of trust in Yakteen based on who he associates with. I still laugh my arse off thinking of him getting in a fistfight to defend Baffert’s honor

no, you have to beat all comers. Thats the idea anyway. I wouldn't be opposed to limiting the fields in the next two legs tho.

You didn’t read the rest of my sentence. I said if we always want the best horse to win. I like the huge field, it just doesn’t always end with the best horse on top.
The other races are limited. By gate size. Like every other race. At least they built a new gate to hold 20 for the derby instead of the auxiliary gate. The derby is the only race here that allows a huge field.
Also, the next two are usually scrambling to fill the gate they have

this is my annual bitch about nbc post
they never show any of the pre race odds or warmups or jack shite. they just sorta tune back in when the gate is loaded
the worst
going from fs2 to usa today is a major downgrade

well for the newbies or anyone lurking for gambling picks
just bet on either irad or saez each race and you will come out ahead
