Yep. Two seasons from now KAT will be a three year pro and Wiggins a four year pro. They won't be in their primes but they'll be in the beginning stages.
the biggest issue is that wiggins isn't hat good and ha to take a major, MAJOR jump to become budding great

What's the reaction though if OKC doesn't win it next year. The Lakers and Celtics in the past have had HOF starting lineups and didn't win some years. I would not just hand them the trophy even with Durant.
Personally, I would LMAO if they did not win.

Can't just ignore LeBron James though.

this move and legacy is a really juicy discussion
if LBJ can will the cavs to another win against the super team, his legacy is pushed even further
what about KD? now he may run off 2-3 titles in a row. that cements a pretty amazing legacy for his career
imagine if he becomes the top dog on GS and gets another MVP or 2 also
he's going to jump a bit in the pantheon i assume. into the top 10?

Next year's free agency going to be nuts. If GS wins, LeBron might look to assemble another super team.
If the experiment fails and Cleveland wins, Curry and Durant in free agency will be interesting to see.
So many big FAs next year (Westbrook, CP3 too)

There aren't that many top ten players just floating around. For the sake of argument assume Westbrook wants his own super team. The closest he could get would be a couple years from now if something like he and Anthony Davis joined Kawhi Leonard on the Spurs.
Along those same lines - I really don't understand the Clippers and that Austin Rivers move. Even if they didn't know they were out of it for Durant, Rivers isn't worth 12 million a year. And it makes it harder next year to add a fourth player to the three they have.

I'm not convinced Golden State is significantly better as a result of this move, but their biggest opponent in the West got significantly worse and GS doesn't need to be significantly better to beat CLE anyway.

I think Doc's presence had a lot to do with that. It's the only thing that makes sense.

I'm surprised to hear that everyone on the Warriors was courting KD. They should all be getting massive contracts with the new deal in place and they'll be splitting the pie with another superstar. The problem is with the new cba they won't have to split much. They could probably make room for Lebron if they wanted. It's crazy that they raised the cap that much without a more significant increase in the individual player max. The individual player max should be at least 50 percent of the cap IMO.
I'm not convinced Golden State is significantly better as a result of this move,

I can see that being a plus.
My thing is just that there is only one ball to go around. KD is unquestionably better than Barnes, but how many more shots can he expect to see, and who is going to give them up? Barnes was virtually the same from 3 this year as KD was. KD gives you more of a driving game than Barnes, but do you really want him taking shots away from your other outside sharpshooters?
I mean GS got better, but there is only so much marginal improvement you can make considering the efficiency that they enjoyed all year as is. They're championship aspirations are looking much better because other teams are getting worse (Cleveland, OKC) more that GS getting better IMO.

On paper they make look similar but they are less likely to have nights where everyone is off. If they aren't as dependent on those 12-0 runs it will make their margin of error much easier to manage. Plus KD getting post up buckets will be a nice tool too.

quote:The top 4 may give up a a little bit but the bulk of shots will be taken from the bench. KD will take all of Barnes's shots. On top of that, with a Big 4, they can always have 1-2 elite level guys on the court at all time, so they're mostly going to be taking shots from the bench I'd think.

quote:Considering Barnes only shoots wide open 3s and KD is the focal point of the OKC offense, I think that goes a long way in showing just how great of a shooter KD is comparably.

Getting the Thunder out of the way really is huge. The Thunder had their number and just let them off the hook. Their crazy length was a nightmare for the Warriors and GS's half court offense looked rough. Durant will change their chemistry alot I would think. He will....holy shite getting on the politics board. Comey is telling the DOJ to indict Hillary I think. frick YES.
