I'm in the same boat, brother. Can't drive, can't travel alone, swim, ride a bike, etc. I had cardiac arrest when I was 50 and lost a bunch of friends who were now freaked out then a few years later diagnosed with Epilepsy and lost more friends.

and therefore your being age 40 was not relevant in any way.

I’m a GM who was considering making him a franchise QB, I’d have a lot of questions I need answered now.

imagine if fields was highly rated by sf.

if i were SF Gm i would draw a line through his name.
im not making that bet with the #3 pick that i (some would say foolishly) just paid THREE YEARS #1s for.

i could see Bill doing it with #15.

not 3.

If I didn’t already think Atlanta would go with Pitts at #4 or trade down I’d say the same applies there.

I was thinking more along the lines of that Detroit, Carolina, Denver grouping that will have a tougher decision.

For those who are concerned about the compounding effects of CTE on epilepsy, that leads to another full round of questions to answer since studies have shown adults who have had to manage their epilepsy have shown to present CTE symptoms of the brain without having gone through multipleTBI events.

Faneca may have shown it’s possible to play in the NFL with epilepsy. He’s also only 44 years old with hopefully a long life ahead. Now would be the time for the NFL to prove they care about the health of their players by having team doctors perform their due diligence areas of the draft.

I legitimately didn't know epilepsy was something you could "grow out of"
It's a real thing, and something neurologist will talk with patients about if the patient has been seizure free for a long period.

I've been taking meds since my first seizure in 6th grade. I'm 62 now and have answered, "No thank you." when neurologist ask if I want to try to get off them. I went thru two six month periods, over two years, without being able to drive while changing meds in my mid-30's. Severe grand mal seizures can cause brain damage. I haven't had one in over 10 years, but don't want to take the chance of killing any more brain cells.

I dont like betting on one guy vs having three guys.
now we know this one guy already has an issue.

remember buddy and a #1 for oft injured boogie.
same thing.
boogie doesnt last a season.
availability beats ability.
