Just how out of control will the tanking in the NBA this year be for Wembanyama

This guy is freaking absolutely ridiculous. He's 7'4" and pulling up from 30 feet and just draining 3s without the net moving, blocking everything near him and just all around doing insane shite.

By the end of the season the hype will be insane.

Sam Presti might have SGA murdered just to lose a few more games.

And on top of that if you get #2, you get Scoot Henderson who would easily be #1 in many other drafts.

Pels can swap pick with the Lakers this year.

I'm just saying.

The Orlando Magic will have a shot, thankfully.

Wembanyama and Banchero? Yes, please.

Unfortunately they'll stick him in some crappy big market.

If San Antonio gets #1, I may join the savages and riot. Hell with that team.

NBA's worst case scenario is Utah Jazz with #1 pick.

Chet hurt his foot, the same injury that has happened to countless players that have played in the league for years.

He didn't get broken in half by someone, which is the implication for skinny players.

You have a tall skinny player on your team that is one of your stars.

Wembanyama's talent is off the damn charts. Injuries happen there's no predicting them.

Chet is a bum and however he is hurt will be irrelevant for a player that looks like he is one hard screen away from the injury list.

probably tames the tanking.

and now that 4 teams have equal chance to pick first and a 5th team has nearly as good odds.
you can now tank and get pick 4 which is a crap shoot.

Wembanyama's missed a lot of time with injuries including a lower back muscle injury and a lower leg stress fracture.

It's just hard to say a player like Wembanyama won't deal with tons of injuries during his NBA career. His talent is undeniable and his stature and skill set make him extremely tough to hard, but if I'm an NBA owner, idk if I'm using draft capital to draft the next 7 foot phenom when a majority of them have not worked out in the past.

The hype for Zion was real. The hype for Chet was real.

When you deal with physical freaks, it’s a major risk. This guy can play, and he’s the type that COULD impact an entire team’s defensive strategy, but injuries to hyped players in recent years has me wary.

He looks like an alien. Totally a player you create in 2K and wreck shop

Hopefully stays healthy

Chet was viewed as fragile regardless of how he would get hurt. His body composition just lends itself to issues. Whether that be via contact in the paint or just running down the court.

Only a small handful of players above say, 7'1, have had continually effective careers that weren't entirely derailed by injuries.

Smits
Ilgauskas
Eaton

Then there are the high upside guys above that height that haven't been able to fully realize and sustain top-tier play. Solid careers nonetheless.

Yao (seemed to realize potential a few yrs in but then broke down)
Sampson
Sabonis
Porzingis
