I've seen alot of people say this. I mean he can try to guard every position but I've seen him against guys like curry Westbrook and kyrie and 1. He hardly ever guards them and when he does he normally looks foolish. I would say he can almost guard every position but elite guards are really tough for him to handle
Well Lebron is 33 now. So it makes sense that he no longer has the elite athleticism to stay with those guys. Btw, no one in the league is staying in front of the elite guards.
Now we can have a discussion about prime Lebron during his Miami days when he shutdown league MVP D Rose during the playoffs. And let's not forget that pre-injury Rose was one of the greatest NBA athletes we have seen.

The "guards 5 positions" shite has been thrown around and romanticized A LOT
yeah the one that comes to mind the most to me is the first time gs and the Cavs played in the finals and lebron got on Steph and he made him give up trying to guard him and he just stepped away and let him shoot

I feel sorry for the insecure MJ fans that haven't been able to enjoy Lebrons career
Hes certainly not as exciting to watch now but the guy was a MONSTER for the past 10 years

I don’t even care about this debate but one Play proves nothing.

I bet Magic only did that like 5 times.
It's not all about scoring.
It's about winning.
As a rookie, Kareem got hurt and the Lakers needed Magic to play center.
As a center he had 42 points and 15 rebounds.
As a guard he usually had 15 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists.
It all depends what makes your team win.
Magic didn't say come the playoffs, "it's scoring time!"
He said: "It's winning time!"

Jordan got 62 in one game.
Lost to Larry's Celtic all star team.

Lebron really has been a joy to watch. Once he decided to return to Cleveland though it was all over

Lebrun is a wanna be but ends up being a baby back attention whore bitch. Jordan is a better floor general and has nuts that drag behind him. Lebron is a self righteous hoe that constantly needs someone rubbing his arse telling him how great he is. They are both are really true definitions of the generations. We are in a generation of whiny pussies while Jordan’s era, only real Gs

One guy's a pure scorer. The other isn't. That's not some huge revelation.

Jordan may have actually been better on defense than he was on offense. Let that sink in for a moment. And then add in that Jordan went after you mentally as well as anyone else in the history of the game. Lebron is an amazing all around gifted athlete and basketball player. It's no slight on him. I've watched both in their prime. Jordan had a more complete game. I believe if they faced each other in their prime Jordan takes Lebron mentally out of his game when it matters most.

Jordan and Bird were the two most ruthless and mentally tough players I ever saw.
They didn't want to be your friends, no kissie-poo, huggy-huggy before games with your opponent. They played the game rough...and dove for every ball and mentally tough and intimidating.
Bird wouldn't even acknowledge Magic at the NCAA Finals before the game (And they had played together on Team USA the year before.)
My favorite story is when the NBA stars were set to scrimmage the 1984 Olympic team...and the college kids are at one end and the Pros at the other warming up...and a stray ball goes to the Pros side and Jordan runs down to retrieve the ball and Larry Bird picks it up and Jordan sticks his hands out and Bird takes the ball and throws it over Jordan's head and all the way to the other end and turns around and walks away.

He was the Defensive Player of the Year in 1988 and First-Team All-Defense every season from his mid-20s to his mid-30s, he did struggle defending someone like Magic in the 1991 NBA Finals first games hence why Jackson switched Pippen on him one on one to bang and wear him out and the strategy worked. Overall point taken though.

Have to disagree here, LeBron's a player who can dominate at point, on the wing and mix it up down low with the big boys and grind that out. MJ's not a guy who could mix it up down low and remotely grind it out more effectively than LeBron and logically so considering his size, dude sometimes got hammered driving to the paint. In that regard, he does not have a more complete game than LeBron.

Then why is he not guarding Oladipo all the time?
Best question in the thread...and not answered. I wondered this the last game

You know it was not Magic that hurt the Bulls game 1 don’t you? Of course you don’t.
Perkins and Worthy went for 22 each Magic had 11 assist. But spin your falsehoods
Oh yeah it was a 2 point loss so it wasn’t an asskicking like people “remember”. They moved Pippen away from Worthy and Perkins actually. But

Because he is 33 and no longer has the lateral quickness to stay with thise fast guards. Dipo is one of the quickest guards in the game. LeBron is better served as a rim protector when Victor drives .

Yet that pure scorer averaged just one fewer assist than LBJ during his playoff career

These same figs love Magic because he was good at passing
Magic did something that LeDouche hasn't done...change the way the game is played. Magic Johnson was a 6'9", let me say that again, 6'9" PG at a time when the PG was usually the shortest MF'r on the team and compared to Magic LeDouche couldn't pass his way out of a wet paper bag.

Same old tired argument...
Lebron is more talented
Jordan is maybe the most competitive person in the history of pro sports, on top of being an insane athlete.
Also, anyone questioning how good Jordan was as a defender never saw the man play. If he wanted to take you out of the game, that was it, you weren’t doing shite that night.
