Jones v Gane: Will DC be pulled out of retirement?
Posted by POTUS2024 on 2/27/23 at 11:11 pm012
I expect Jones to win. I also expect him to be doped. Does anyone else think he talks trash to DC after the fight, and pulls DC out of retirement, for them to fight at HW?

Dc would get his arse beat again….prolly make him cry yet again too! Jones won’t talk shite but even if so DC don’t want them problems

Jones has always been a bad match up for DC. At 43 its only amplified. Don't imagine he wants to take that beating

You mean fail another drug test? Not a chance… well maybe a chance, but not likely.

He won't fail a test. People think he's been out to train for HW - no, he's been gone because he figured out he had to get some stuff out of his system and get a new designer drug onboard, that would evade the current testing protocols.
Doping in the US is a business and for decades now US athletes have been getting designer drugs to evade the tests. As far back as 2008 this was disclosed.
Authorities arrested a 'middle man' that was linking athletes up with drug designers. A German magazine did an interview with him while he was in custody. He explained all of this. Olympics were about to start and they asked him, "So, at the Olympics coming up, in the sprint finals..." and dude didn't let them finish the question, and he said, "They're all doped."
Jones has never been off drugs. I'm not sure he could compete psychologically, if he didn't have something in his system. I don't even understand why anyone gives him credit for any of the wins over DC. There's not a chance that DC loses to a clean Jones. Without anabolics and stimulants, there's no way Jones is training, recovering, and developing the ability to beat DC. Since there's zero history of DC and drug issues, in or out of sport, I think he's been clean.

I hope you are right. I've never liked Jones.

If/when Jones wins, he will fight Stipe, then probably retire.
I don't know if Stipe will fight again, his father recently passed and he declined a new deal... things could always change, but that's where he's at now.

The only way Gane beats JJ is if his ego gets the best of him and he insists on staying on his feet (not that Bones is a bum there either), but his advantage in the ground should be pretty massive if the Ngannou fight was any indication.

Bones wins this fight easily either way.
Y’all either don’t understand how much of a goat this guy is or just don’t like him.
He should be a -400 favorite. The only reason he’s not is because it’s his first fight in 3 years

When did this happen? I thought Stipe already said he wants the winner next. I just read Stipe will be cageside & in talks to fight in late summer/fall.
Hoping for international fight week in Vegas in July if Jones wins.

Jones signed a new deal last summer, and the fight they wanted to make last year was him vs Stipe.. I'm not sure of the exact time frame.. Things could have changed between now and when I heard this, although I believe it was fairly recently

I know about a month ago, when they announced Jones vs Gane, Stipe responded on Twitter “I’ve got winner in July”. It sounds like they’re working on a potential fight for July.
DC is 100% done. He's making money on his gym and being an announcer and is happy.
Jon Jones and he have kissed and made up recently so there's no real beef there anymore (if there ever was any and it wasn't all to sell PPVs)

I just looked it up.. his father passed in November, so it's possible
