And award a TD to San Francisco.

Don't think flacco would be demanding $10 million per let alone $20 million per had this happened.

Still, you have to admire a quarterback who can lead his team to the championship despite not having a ton of offensive talent, an easy schedule an a #1 seed.

what's the NFL gonna do?

Award Ginn the touchdown and the 49ers the game anyway. Suspend Flacco a few games next season and fine the shite out of him

yeah probably.

Many, many years ago an Alabama player lunged from the sidelines and tackled a Rice player who was running down the sidelines for a big gain.

after the Bama player did that, the referee jogged the ball down the field and set up the ball for an extra point.

after further review: Touchdown Rice!!!!

that would NEVER happen unless it is written in blood in the rule book

and I highly doubt that they have a rule for it

What if Ginn didn't necessarily have a clear path to the endzone?

I think the official CAN award a TD, so no clear path = no TD

"Palpably Unfair Act. A player or substitute shall not interfere with play by any act which is palpably unfair. Penalty: For a palpably unfair act: Offender may be disqualified. The Referee, after consulting his crew, enforces any such distance penalty as they consider equitable and irrespective of any other specified code penalty. The Referee may award a score."

So basically wherever they feel it should go, it's totally up to the officials.

I had heard that story from Bama fans before but they never mentioned it happened in a bowl game.
