He hasn't done much except for a lot of short yardage TD's since he tore his patella a few years ago. That injury was brutal for him.

He hasn't been the same since he tore his patellar in 2015. He used to be a monster up the seam but he can't do that anymore. Now he's basically a box out guy.

He can't get down the field to make that play anymore and definitely couldn't make that run after catch.

He and Russ were never an ideal fit either. Russ being more of an improviser vs the machine Brees.

I wanted him to come back this year but in hindsight I’m glad the Saints didn’t pay him what the Packers did. He’s been a good tight end this year but not worth that much more than Watson
