I can't even discuss this case. I was all up in the threads when news first broke, but Sandusky os going to jail, Joe Pa has died, and now I'm waiting for prosecution of other Penn St administration. Joe Pa got off easy. He knew and covered it up.

This lawyer is a fricking idiot. Jerry Sandusky has always been a law abiding citizen, well aside from these allegations.

Check out some of his comments down at the courthouse:

Joe Amendola Sounds Off to Reporters While Jury Deliberates

quote:

"Do you know what the odds are of walking on 52 charges? The likelihood is strong he will be convicted of something."
"Jerry is an overgrown child. Kids tend to be naive and not really appreciate the seriousness of what they are facing."
"Acquitted? I will die of a heart attack."
Amendola said Sandusky comes to court prepared in case he has to go to jail.
"Jerry and I have become very close. Please don't misconstrue what I'm saying."

Great attorney!

That would depend on your views of the afterlife.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. He will never go back home again, never have access to a gun, never have shoelaces, never be able to kill himself and get off easy (unless he gets very creative). Dude is going to have to rot in prison (solitary confinement) for the remainder of his life

And Joseph Paterno wasn't going to leave college football to the Jackie Sherrill's and Barry Switzers of the world. Just the Jerry Sandusky's, who was the main choice for successor until he retired.

Holy crap, Amendola just admitted in his press conference that the only reason he didn't put Jerry Sandusky on the stand is because he thought Matt Sandusky would have "destroyed" him in rebuttal.

They will never touch this guy in prison, he will be in segregation. I hope in sentencing they can get a way to make him very uncomfortable. Then I hope when Bernie Fine trial starts they hammer him just as bad.

The sad thing is he so screwed up but some of the normal people that knew 20 years ago could have stopped him. I don't know how people sleep letting a monster run free destroying kids lives.

I think people just can't face up to the ugliness they are hearing and seeing being real. That's the only explanation that makes sense when you read about the PSU case - or the many cases of child abuse by Catholic priests
