Thank God. I was really not looking forward to the Saturday where he dropped dead in the locker room before a game.

Hang it up man.

His seizures aren't life threatening.

I like how Minny supports him, but at some point he is no longer "performing his job."

This. It's a dick thing to say right now, but it's 100% truth.

The guy sounds by all accounts like a great coach and great guy, but he hasn't really produced all that great (not poorly either) and he is in and out. It's got to hurt recruiting and day to day stuff within the program.

I feel bad for him. Anytime you've worked hard to earn a job and then a disability gets in the way of you doing it, that sucks big time.

Seizures are freaky as hell. The high stress doesn't help either

How can he get kids to commit to the program when their coach might literally drop dead on the sideline?

Sadly its about time. Minnesota has been more then adequate in being sensitive to the whole ordeal, but hopefully both parties realize that its time to move on. Minnesota has all the resources to be a much much better football program then what they currently are. Glenn Mason did it...with crappy facilities. What kind of name is out there for Minnesota to potentially go after? If you are Minny, would you consider Lane Kiffin???

Not a bad idea

That said, is Lane to "hollywood" to go to Minn?

I wish people would stop saying this. He may have a seizure which certainly might freak people out but from everything I have read, this isn't remotely life threatening.

I think that's the right thing to do. Has to be hard on those kids to play with that.

Depends on the severity. He could repetitively bang his head on concrete or have one while driving and wreck. Other than that, not that much risk of death.

They shouldn't go after Kiffin, but Orgeron might need a job next year.
