I never said he would be the leader, but he can be a positive influence on a team with a lot of impressionable young talent. Plus he has a break work ethic contrary to what the limp soys want to believe.

Half the team is going to view him as a bust who is only there as the coach's pet. I doubt they'll flat out dislike him but the idea he'll be a locker room leader is laughable.

Hard to say that when he hasn't even made the team.

Did you watch the Jags last year? I'm not sure any of them deserve to be on an NFL team.

Where exactly do I come off mad?
It's hard to pinpoint, but maybe in literally every post in this thread.
If any heisman trophy winning athlete, who'd remained physically active and very publicly in shape and still playing sports, went to their former collegiate national championship winning coach and asked for a chance to prove themselves at a position of need, do you think they'd not be given the same opportunity?
I seriously doubt he's able to make the final 53 here, but if he does, good for him. Let him play.
Give him a shot and stop being such a little bitch about it.

Doesn’t hurt to have a guy way down the roster who can QB in a pinch if necessary.

I don’t think Tebow will have an easy or successful transition to TE. That’s just an opinion, I haven’t been angry or upset in any of my posts in here, if it’s hard to pin point, it’s because it’s not happening

Where did I say anything about him getting a chance or the circumstances that lead to him getting signed? I simply gave my opinion on what I feel is his ability to be successful doing it.

Why do you seem to be under the impression that I in anyway have any effect on where he plays or not?

Again, I am in no position to “give him a shot”, that’s the Jaguars prerogative. I’m simply giving my opinion on what I feel are his chances at being successful at it.

I dont know their TE situation, but i seriously doubt Tebow will make the team. Being out of the game for so long i think hes got a pretty good chance of injury during practice and it wont even come down to getting cut.
That being said, aside from being 10 years past his prime, and a lot more hype, he isnt much different than a Taysum Hill. Probably couldve made a career as a special teamer/TE/Wing back/full back/etc if he'd done this a decade ago.

you believe that Urban is bringing in Tebow for his on the field contributions, you’re an idiot.
He brought him in to change the locker room culture.
You don't carry a 34 year old rookie as a locker room guy on your 53 man roster if he can't contribute on the field.

Let me guess, Jags org is being.....RACIST!!!!!!!
You’re a party killer!
I might actually watch a JAX game now, good for Tebow if it goes through.

What makes Black people upset about Tim Tebow signing in NFL is not just the NFL itself & hypocrisy of Colin Kaepernick’s blackballing vs Tebow’s unlimited privilege, it’s the burden of feeling we have to beat back every single cultural fight to preserve rights in our real lives
quote:
Tim Tebow’s unlimited privilege vs Colin Kaepernick’s blackballing is not far a leap from GOP voter suppression bills in Black people’s eyes.
Not far a leap for the right either.See Mr. Potato Head & Dr. Seuss displays in Congressional hearings, except their arguments are trivial
quote:
Absolutely NO Black person has any substantive beef against Tim Tebow the man. To suggest some reverse racism against him is profoundly absurd and intentionally intellectually dishonest.
Black people know an uneven playing field when they see it, & they see an extra man on it
quote:
For Tim Tebow’s seemingly ageless, unlimited privilege vs Colin Kaepernick’s blackballing, Black people see a yellow flag the play, and the once again, the American flag on display

In addition to that Taysom is a key special teamer. Backup TE, which would be Tebow's role, is gonna have to contribute on special teams.

Life-long Broncos fan here bud.
Fact is Tebow has been out of the league for almost 10 years and will be attempting to return at a completely new position. Rookie.
Also, sweet memories of D. Thomas' 65 yard run after a 15 yard post with no safety help because no one respected Tebow's ability to throw more than 10 yards.
