It amazes me seeing these defensive schemes against Leach. Just rush 3, drop 8, play zone, and allow the short passes. UW never gave up more than 17 points running the exact same defense every year under Petersen.
They wanna blitz but what they don’t realize is that is exactly what Leach wants. It’s so much easier for the QB in this system

I had a feeling we’d have obvious growing pains on offense but even with all the losses defensively I never dreamed they’d be this bad. I’d have even believed we could’ve lost this game if you told me before but not like this

This is a horribly coached team. Period.
This is assuming any actual coaching happened, which I'm doubting after watching this.
Case in point, basically throwing 2 hail marys down 10 fricking points.

Welcome to Pac-12 football.
Costello never struck fear in anyone under Shaw. But looks like he might be the next Gardner Minshew.

That overturned fumble was a brutal emotional swing lol.

I remember he had a good game against Oregon on the road but that was in Shaw’s offense which is basically the Miles offense.

1) Myles Brennan is horrible at the quarterback position
2) Our defensive personnel is not top-5 SEC level
3) Our offensive play calling is bad
I am not blaming Pelini. We forced 4 turnovers and scored on defense. We severely lack talent in the back end of the defense.
