It Blows my mind that KJon Carter was the last RB taken #1 overall in the draft.

I would have thought someone would have been taken since 21 years ago. Wow...

The last 20 years has been nothing but QBs and OL/DL. That honestly doesn't surprise me at all.

Seems like the obvious choice to be the last RB taken #1.

not much difference in value from 1 to 2,3 or 4. There have been a bunch in that range

everyone talks about usc's mid 2000's offense but penn state's offense in 94 was better

Kerry Collins > Matt Leinhart
Ki-Jana Carter = Reggie Bush
Kyle Brady > whoever USC's TE was
Bobby Engram > Jarrett or Steve Smith
Marco Rivera > any USC offensive lineman

Ka-Jana carter is the only bust on that list and he had injuries. every fricking player on usc's offense was a bust sans steve smith

The Last WR #1 draft pick was Keyshawn Johnson in 1996

The last LB #1 draft pick was Aundray Bruce in 1988

The last DB #1 draft pick was Gary Glick in 1956
Hopefully Jalen Ramsey changes that

I don't believe a Tight End has ever been the #1 Draft Pick.

I mean in the last 20 years how many times has a team with a top 5 RB won the Super Bowl? What once (would have been twice if the Seahawks had just handed the ball off)?

RBs just aren't that valuable, and hell other than a handful of guys you can probably just pick up an unsigned free agent and have similar success to a first rounder.

I'd put RB behind QB, T, DE, DB (a lock down corner), WR and possibly even LB.

I'll give you Brady, the rest no, but especially Carter over Bush, that's indefensible.

Bush at USC

Carter at PSU

on AVERAGE, RBs do not last long enough to earn the retirement.

kerry collins won a super bowl

Leinhart won the college beer pong championship

to even put the two in the same discussion is laughable

College Ka-Jana Carter YPC 7.9 Reggie Bush 7.3 YPC

NFL Draft Ka-Jana Carter 1st overall pick

Reggie Bush 2nd overall pick

scorebord bitch lol

one is clearly better than the other

Kijana carter, albeit a great college back, was nothing more than that. No different than a Melvin gordon, Ahman Greene, or any other of the dozens of guys that have excelled in college throughout the last 20 years or so.

Bush was a once in a generation player. Adrian Peterson is the only other college back that was in that elite level with bush.
