Lol no. The Knicks are a putrid franchise. Since 2000 the Pels have won like 25 more games than them and NOLA’s team history only goes back to 2002.
25 more wins in like 18 years isn’t the boom I think you were looking for.

The team didn’t even exist the first 2 years of that

I think the point there is that the knicks have 25 less wins, despite playing 164 MORE games since 2000.

Depends on if you think turning down an almost guaranteed $30 million+ contract just because the city you have to work in may not be your favorite is crazy or not.

Love how the national talking heads all year said “ shut it down and go pro” now they say go back to duke and play for “free”.

Same talking heads where calling for him to shut down his season before the tourney when his shoe blew out and he hurt his knee.

That’s the best part, some of those same a-holes are the ones saying he should threaten to go back to avoid playing for New Orleans

I gotcha. Must have missed that part.

FWIW, Pelicans have averaged 5.8 more wins than the Knicks over the life of the Pelicans.

New Orleans only played 16 of those years or 164 fewer games so if the argument is he shouldn’t play for New Orleans because it’s a bad franchise but would be cool to play for NYK then yes it is

I think the Pelicans are a pretty poor franchise. Not arguing that he should play for anyone else.

Yes. If it wasn't for the one and done rule he would already be in the NBA.

Everyone is shitting on New Orleans, but with a new GM I think that makes a difference because it's not like NO doesn't want to be a winning franchise.

I think there is a better chance AD stays in NO than most people think. In summary, I think the whole thing this past year was the work of AD & Lebron's agent, Rich Paul. It blew up in their face and now that the Pelicans have the option to draft Zion, AD will agree to not being traded.

If that doesn't happen, the Pelicans will still get something valuable for AD. Not to mention. I know NYC is the media capital of the country and NY & LA teams are expected to be good and have all the star players, but we are talking about the Knicks.

They have had a losing record for the past 5 or 6 years (maybe longer than that). It's not like they are a well managed team so if you think about it.. How does this sound "I am going back to school because the Pelicans will draft me instead of the Knicks"?

Of courses they are a poor franchise, though at least they appear to be making changes to fix that. You may not be but the national media is, that’s where this whole he could go back to Duke narrative started.

Comments like these are as ignorant as it gets. This isn't the same regime that drafted Davis, not even the same ownership. David Griffin is among the most respected front office people in the NBA. Do a little research before spouting idiocy.

You’d see Golden State tank it on purpose for him.

Pels and the hornets would get in a fist fight on court because they other team simply tries NOT to score.
