What LSU fan edited his Wikipedia page? That’s mean/hysterical

Nobody would even know Venables was their D Coordinator if Herbie hadn't said his name 500 times during the broadcast. Just like he used to do with "Bud Fosters Defense".
Is he really a good d coordinator or does he have 4 and 5 stars loaded on defense playing in the crappy ACC and just got exposed by actual good competition....

Are you serious?
Eta: you can't be serious. No serious CFB fan is that dumb.

Slightly. The only reason I knew who he was is because he was rumored to be the next HC at WVU when Dick Rod left, before the Pitt Game, for Michigan.

You know he's the highest paid DC in college football, right? That he was DC at Oklahoma when they last won a natty? That Clemson didn't become a real NC contender until he came aboard?

But it helps getting blue chippers across the board and playing in a soft conference.

His blitzes sure are beautifully designed. Agree that I never saw Joe rattled like he was in the 1st quarter.

I think every team in America except LSU and Michigan would drop their coordinator INSTANTLY for Venables. I think LSU and Michigan would take a few minutes to think about it and then come to the same conclusion.
He’s an absolutely incredible defensive strategist, play caller, and apparently a pretty good recruiter too

Soft conference doesn't help in the playoff, and once you get to that level, everybody has blue chippers.
He's legit. There are only a handful of DC's in college football that are difference makers and he's one of them. The fact LSU had so many yards says more about them than it does him.

He absolutely destroyed that bunch set that LSU loved to run all year

I was still a virgin when this happened.

This.
People are definitely looking at this game in hindsight. BV's 3-1-7 concept for dealing with LSU was a pretty brilliant way of both scheming to get as many athletes on the field and disguising blitzes. Burrow even said in most cases he didn't know where the blitzer was coming from.
Anyone could see that they were well coached and well prepared, they just happened to run into an extremely talented team with a generational QB.

Come on man, be honest.
You were probably a virgin the last time Clemson won one too.

God forgave him. They all good.

Skalski making a stupid decision and getting himself ejected was also a pretty big deal. He was in the backfield a lot prior to that and they struggled to make Joe look uncomfortable afterwards.

The OC should be getting more heat for abandoning the run
