Is there a bigger joke in sports than the NBA All Star Game

Can't believe people actually watch this. It's a continuation of the dunk contest from the night before. No idea why they even bother to have a defense out there, they just stand around not even trying to defend and watch the team with the ball do their acrobatics.
The only all star game that somewhat resembles the actual product is MLB.

The all star game just is what it is. There’s really not any reason to be upset about it.

MLB is the only one I even bother to watch. I only saw the NBA highlights from last night on ESPN this morning on the TV at the gym. And of course ESPN's morning show threw it to a panel who actually tried to analyze the game and get takeaways from it as if the game will have any impact on the rest of the season.

mlb made theirs a stupid gimmick game that unjustly decides homefield advantage in the championship series
the nba game is just entertainment and last night was great entertainment. if you didnt enjoy it you are probably a miserable person.

Why does anyone watch any of the All Star games in pro sports? All of them are meaningless.
It's why ratings are constantly dropping and the leagues keep coming up with gimmicks like team captains or winner getting home field advantage.

For fun. I know MLB actually means home field, but at a point where I have no clue what team it impacts, how much does that really mean?
All star games are supposed to be showcases for extraordinarily skilled players. If you want to watch games that mean more, watch playoff games.

It's difficult to make these entertaining. Why would a player give any type of effort in a game like this when it could lead to an injury? As a player there's almost nothing to gain from this game as an exhibition.

I mean, that is kind of the point. It's why people enjoyed the Rams-Chiefs game, but thought the Superbowl was one of the worst. Offense is exciting.
Plus, it is just a game for fun. The guys don't want to get hurt or hurt someone else trying to make a defensive play.
The biggest joke is complaining about the game instead of just turning it off and moving on with your damn life.
