Plenty of cities have a couple that share, but is Pittsburgh the one city where all of its professional teams share the same common color scheme (black and yellow)? I can’t think of any others.

Mariners and Seahawks do, minus that stupid arse metallic booger color the Seahawks like to trot out occasionally.

I think some cities should have the same type of nickname. I think every team in Houston should have a name related to outer space. Astros, Rockets, and the Texans should have chosen Apollos instead. If they get a NHL team it should have a space theme also.

Every team name in New Orleans should be related to the city and the region some how. We have Saints and Pelicans any new team should have a similar name. Mariners, Seahawks and Kraken are similar with a nautical theme.

Detroit has Tigers and Lions, but Pistons and the Red Wings logo is automotive so their names make sense with two related to cats and the other two paying homage to auto industry unless you think the Pistons and Red Wings should have a feline name.

The Red Wings were the Cougars for the first few years, then the Falcons, then the Red Wings.

The Penguins changed colors to black and gold (yellow)in 1980 after Steelers and Pirates won titles in 1979.

Agreed; IDGAF about the NFL but the Texans name and branding is so bland, boring, and unoriginal I could never get behind it.

All Houston teams should be space related as we are the "Space City" after all.

Final meme: Bring the Aeros home!

The Texans should have been the Apollos or the Challengers. Much better and fitting names in honor of the Apollo and Challenger Astronauts.

Dallas team names are all Western themed

Cowboys
Mavericks
Rangers
Stars

ETA - even though technically the Stars derived from the Minnesota North Stars.

The Diamondbacks are contractually obligated to completely change their color scheme every few years.
