Led his team to the top record at the all star break and was top 10 in the NBA in points, rebounds and blocks.

I say you can make an argument with how they've played without him

I'd still say Russ but wouldn't argue if it went to Kawhi.

Pretty much everyone had him as a top 5 candidate prior to the injury.

He was the best player on a team that was the best in the NBA when he was healthy. He was definitely in the conversation up until the injury.

Lol no.

Cleveland is -70 their last 48 minutes with Lebron off the court.

Their teams sucks balls without him.

Kawhi is the MVP. KD's numbers were so high because of the team that he's on.

His numbers are basically the same as in OKC. That really the angle you want to take?

Basically the same?

He's averaging a career best in rebounds and blocks this year

He averaged 8.2 RPG just last year and has hit 8 in another year with the Thunder as well.

He is at 1.6 blocks this year. He has been at 1.whatever multiple times before.

Basically the same. Not like he shot up to 3 blocks and 12 boards
