He is averaging
23.7 ppg
9.8 rig

Averaging 26 in away games

Has double figures in every game but 1 vs SDSU. He’s not the flashy guy like Obi Toppin But is probably the main reason Iowa will end up being a 4 seed

But Toppin's the reason Dayton will be a 2 seed.

You think Toppin is playing same level if in B1G? I mean Toppin is very very good I’m just thinking what Garza is doing in a better league is more impressive.

It’s either one of them that wins it for sure. The dunk Toppin had on his brother was a highlight.

Howard
Pritchard
Petrusev

Should all be on the leaderboard.

Awards tend to go to best player in best teams. I’ve probably watched more Garza than most, and he has had a great season. But I have a hard time w Iowa being in 5th.

Lots depends on where teams finish up.

No but getting a A-10 team in the top 5 a pretty big feat.

Not really we’ve had one before we also have a MWC and WCC team in top 5. I mean it’s not shocking when there’s not any dominant teams out there honestly.

But it’s not like Archie left Dayton broke when he took the IU job since he recruited and redshirted him.

And all the coaches and players associated with that will be rewarded more for that success than a random Big Ten getting into a 3 way tie for 5th in conference and getting a 6-7 seed in the tourney.

Umm Iowa will be a 4 seed Dayton most likely will get a 3 they will also have them get the hardest 3 Auburn or Kentucky most likely.

You do know Iowa is too 20?

Dayton was a 2 last seed release in Midwest. But now they’re getting to a poor part of schedule

Iowa's NET is 30. Bracket Matrix has their current average as the 2nd to last 6 seed. Not one bracket has them as a 4 seed. Unless they lose Dayton is very secure as a 2.

I’m telling you stop using bracket predictors right now and use what committee is putting out. Iowa will be a 4 then when Penn St keeps rising it will raise Iowa. Illinois is the one that nobody can predict what they’ll end up being.

I’m betting Gonzaga and SDSU won’t be 1’s they’ll be 1 and 2 in west. You get to Keep Gonzaga in Spokane in SubRegional and SDSU gets LA in Regional.

Duke will end up in the East since they have regional in MSG.

Ok. Iowa wasn't in the committee's top 16 last week and they've lost their only game since then.
Also from the committee's rankings last week:
quote:

Twelve of the 16 teams have a NET ranking within two spots of where the committee seeded them, and three of those teams are in the same spot on both lists.

Iowa is currently 14 spots off of 16.

I’ know and look who Iowa has left and then B1G. That’s why I say wait and don’t use predictors like Lunardi etc. look forward not as of now.

If the season ended today, Iowa isn’t even playing with a double-bye in the BTT. Luke Garza does not need to be considered the “leader” for the nation’s most-prestigious award.

But they're 8-6 in conference. They could just as likely lose more of those than win them. To move up like 14-15 spots they've gotta go like 5-1 and I don't know how anyone be confident in that. If you're looking forward and chalking up wins for them then you're also predicting.

I don’t think you know who they have left.

They easily could lose 3 of their last 4.

Iowa just lost their third best player due to injury on an already very thin team. They need to win two more games just to make the tourney. They could lose five of their last six and not even make the tourney.

I know. But SMS obviously didn’t.

Probably.

I looked. As as I do daily. Analyzing Badger position and Goofers. I thought kinda the same, but I didn’t want to rile up Hawkeye fans or make this seem like Badger hate.

I think you win 2 or better. My guess is Purdue and Buckeye. But I wouldn’t be surprised at a win at Sparty.
