The betting odds on Ayton going #1 are longer than my.....well let's just say they are pretty damn long at -2000. (up from -1500 yesterday).

But are there any reasonable scenarios where he isn't the first player seleced?

I doubt very seriously that you have any evidence to back up that claim. But I suppose you're entitled to your opinion.

would be colossal stupidity to pick anyone but Ayton. Has as much upside as any big man since Tim Duncan.

Ayton has a physical profile comparable to generational guys like Shaq and LeBron. It's really hard to pass that up.

I think Doncic and Bagley will be allstars too, and Jackson and Bamba are legit star potential too. This draft is super loaded, but Ayton just oozes physical ability.

my book has it at -2500

Risk $2,500 to win a $100. Seems like easy money

How illegal would it be for the Suns GM to drop a huge load of $$ that he won’t be the #1 pick and then draft Donic. I’m assuming there’s also a limit on how much you can bet?

Not so sure about Ayton.
The number one pick in the draft allowed his team to be upset in the 1st round of the tourney?

And Doncic scored 8 pts in his teams championship game?

Sad what is a top 5 pick now!

Projectable tools have long trumped production. Anyone can put up numbers- doing it efficiently, or having the capacity to improve efficiency, however, is something valuable.

He has less upside than Embiid IMO.

I think so too. Ayton is a terrific prospect but I think we're getting carried away with the superlatives

Interesting question. I didn't think that insider trading laws applied to sports gambling. In the absence of that, I don't know what the basis any charges would be.

Nevada may have state laws particularized to that scenario. But I doubt that every state does, and with gambling essentially now being an option that the states can choose to go with, that's an interesting issue.

There’s usually a limit on all prop bets. Even ones that would be impossible to Rig. And the limits are usually pretty small

And NBA GMs make 1-3 mil per year. Juice ain’t worth that squeeze
