I believe any SEC teams that wins 10 or 11 games should be in over an 9-0 Ohio state
ETA: forgot about conference championships

A lock... no... but a damn safe bet.

9-1 SEC team with a loss to Bama, Florida, UGA etc should get in over 8-0 OSU. More games, more risk.

yes
but dude if they go 6-0 or 7-0 its truly over for them.
michigan could fake covid and get thier game cancelled lol

You need to remember who is on the CFP committee.

I definitely don’t think lock. It will depend on their overall schedule and how they look playing through that schedule.
I definitely could see a scenario where a 10-1 SEC team gets in over an 9-0 OhioSt. It just depends how it all plays out.
If Ohio St goes 9-0 and wins every game 50-7 then yeah I think they’re in. But if they go 9-0 with a bunch of close calls against inferior teams, they may miss out depending on what other teams are competing for the final playoff spot.

They would be 9-0

8-0 OSU will make the playoffs. Likely one from each of the Power 4. It gets interesting if OSU loses a game in an 8 season schedule vs an SEC or ACC team with one loss in a 10 or 11 game season.

Yes. But I assume you mean 9-0 since there'd be a conference championship game.
Any undefeated OSU team makes it in. Don't know how anybody would think otherwise. The only thing that changes that is if they have to a cancel games and only play a partial season.

Highly likely given the stipulations they put on this season

Yes, as they should be.

Not gonna happen, someone will play spoiler in the B1G for Ohio State and it won't be Michigan.

The difference between 8-0 and 12-0 is meh because OSU hardly ever plays competitive OOC games, so it's not that much different.
Now when compared to the SEC having 10 games, it does get interesting, but I don't see the CFP committee leaving OSU out if they go undefeated.

yes but the pollsters are going to be cautious with their season ranking, just in case there is a situation where they can not complete a full 8 game regular season

This is correct. But even if they do go 9-0. My playoff prediction is:
LSU
Clemson
Oklahoma state
Georgia

Anyone have a B1G schedule now as compared to say the SEC? I'm assuming the B1G teams will have their BYE week at the beginning of the season, LOL.
