He’s not including the Christmas Day games because it was last year. Other than that day what game would have beat the Iowa game before the playoffs?

I bet the all star game (an absolute shite show btw) alone had more viewers

It’s like tuning into a random 8th grade boys game. Why do people subject themselves to that

Aside from Duke/UNC, the three most watched basketball games on ESPN this year are women's basketball.

Kinda wild really.

I beleive they changed the timing of the women's tournament this year, right? Usually it starts a week before or after the mens?

Yeah I do not believe this.

It would be cool, though.

It’s true as far as I can tell. On the surface it sounds shocking, but the NBA gets more viewership on TNT, and the bigger ESPN draws also air on ABC.

The first half of the Ohio State vs VT last night was actually a lot of fun to watch.

Both teams couldn't miss.

All of those games were on ESPN and ABC, so I don’t believe ESPN alone topped the 2.5MM that WBB got.

I’m not sure how it happened, but I’ve watched more women’s than men’s games this March Madness. Did ESPN trick me into this?

Dubious stat for sure, they’re comparing an elite 8 game with Caitlin Clark to the nba regular season. And it had about 2.5 million viewers.

For a better comparison the Miami/Texas men’s game on Sunday had over 11 million viewers.

Also there are sometimes three or four NBA games being played at the same time on a given night, this was the only women’s game on at the time. It’s not a serious comparison.
