There were "experts" saying that LSU couldn't land a coach like Crean, and they would have to settle for someone lesser.

They weren’t really relevant his last few seasons there.

IU has Romeo Langford. How is this season on Crean?

Haven't been to the title game since 2002. Not relevant anymore.

It’s kinda wild because the traditional basketball states generally aren’t down that long.

Kansas, Kentucky, NC and Indiana fricking LOVE basketball but Indiana has not had anywhere near the success the other 3 stats have had.

More like LSU or Georgia before their recent returns back to elite status.

Indiana high school basketball is still filthy good. IU just either can't keep those guys home, overlook some of them, or have them bust when they get there. If IU could keep half the elite Indiana HS-trained college players, they'd be in title contention almost every year. Only Maryland, Louisiana, and North Carolina compare as far as decent-sized states in pound-for-pound talent production.
