If you’ve got a sophomore and a senior with equal talent/skill at a position

Who do you start? The senior because he’s “earned it” and “paid his dues” or the young guy because he’s only going to get better and you’ll have more time with him?

This smells like a bait and switch

No just stupid autocorrect from phone. It’s fixed

I’d likely start the senior but give the sophomore adequate playing time.

Starting the senior not because he’s “paid his dues” but because experience at the college level is very valuable. Sophomore gets plenty of PT though

This unless I feel like teammates are responding to the sophomore better. The tie-breaker for me would likely be the locker room/intangibles.

All things being equal,I'd start the senior simply because of his experience.
Now if its the end of the season and not much to play for I'd probably go with the sophomore.

What is the position?
Quarterback
Catcher
Short
Center Field
Point Guard
I start the Senior no matter what.

I would start the senior until the underclassman passed him up which likely would be a matter of when, not if.

You start the sophomore only if he's ineligible.

Why are you not telling us the position? Because that makes a lot of difference in this conversation.

Whoever is the better player... coaches get paid to win games... play the best player you have at each position.

College, or high school?
College - senior...older and a bit more steely
High School - sophomore, make the senior change positions and bust arse to see the field.
