If you’re a Miami dolphins fan (or coach) are the FL or AL receivers

More enticing as prospects? I’m including Jaylen Waddle in this FYI. Kyle Pitts and Toney are amazing. I was very impressed from the SECCG and only wish those young men the best.

I personally feel like Pitts is more of what Tua needs, even though Miami possibly won’t nab him in time. Gisecki is his favorite target and Pitts is a large guy that can really move. I would love to see some Bama dudes back with Tua but the Florida guys objectively if only given the 4 to work with I feel work better overall IMO.

At this point, I'll take anyone that can run a deep route.

Gisecki has proved himself in any utility, but Tua needs confidence and that requires chemistry. Waddle or Smitty would do just that.

The league in general has a hard time defending the bigger receivers that are tight ends in name only. Pairing Pitts with Gisecki would be a match up nightmare.

There's team need plus there is value.

Look at last year's contracts:

1-12 Ruggs $16.6M
1-15 Jeudy $15.1M
1-17 Lamb $14M
1-21 Reagor $13.2M
1-22 Jefferson $13.1M
1-25 Aiyuk $12.5M

2-33 Higgins $8.6M
2-44 Claypool $6.6M

You can save $10M by taking a second rounder.

I don't see Toney going that high in the first round, although thats not necessarily knocking him as a player.

Think hes more of a later first round pick, just based on team needs in the first round.

Dolphins need another WR IMO, as good of a TE as Pitts is. And they still need to improve their OL.

NBC Sports has the Miami taking Chase with the Texans pick

quote:

Dolphins (via HOU): Ja'Marr Chase, WR, LSU

Sure, Dolphins' starting quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa would love to throw to one of his two former Alabama wideouts (Jaylen Waddle / DeVonta Smith), both of whom are potential first round picks. However, chances are he'll enjoy passing to 2019's Biletnikoff award winner, Ja'Marr Chase just as much, if not more. Chase is a dazzling talent with speed to spare and deft hands that snatch passes thrown at any angle. Strong through contact, he can power past defenders trying to dislodge him from securing contested passes. Chase has few if any flaws within his receiving skill set.

NBC Mock

CBS Sports does as well

DeVante Parker has been good, not great when healthy. Lynn Bowden Jr. is starting to make some plays for the Dolphins, but they need more firepower. Tua Tagovailoa had a better receiving room at Alabama, so to make his life easier, they should add a more reliable threat at the position.

The Bama player I want for the Fins is LD69 in the later rounds. Miami has to get meaner and tougher up front. For the first round, I'll take Devonta. If he's gone, Pitts.

Diva

Chase is a bully and has nothing but dog in him. He’d be the best WR the dolphins have ever had almost immediately.

Another pathetic loser. So you’re passing on Sewell, Parsons and anyone else that opted out before the season? It’s one thing to rip on the players that left mid season but to dig on kids that opted out before the season started given all that was going on is just pathetic

Chase quit... but not as much of a quitter Marshall was.
