FanDuel made $3.23 billion in 2022, and I’m sure that has only gone way up since then. DraftKings projects $6.6 billion in revenue in 2025. The big books can gtfo with this shite.

they are doing this so they can eliminate the state's income tax

If this is the case, I’m all for it. Let the books pay our state income tax. Big question, is it in the language of the bill. If not, put it in there or NO.

Y’all are stupid. This was a tax on the companies and not the bettors. I’m generally not for raising taxes but this could have created quite a bit of money for the state had it passed.

I guess you’d rather have shitty roads while the casinos get rich.

You’re stupid if you believe the state will put the money to good use. Yep suddenly going to get around to fixing those roads….

At least when these books take your money you have a chance to win something. This state ? Not so much

Hell, where I live you can only play daily fantasy even though in some ways it's a lot like betting on a game.

but you can't actually bet on the game.

but you can carry a gun with you no matter where you go in the state.

Alabama started allowing Daily Fantasy again after the state was allowed more of a cut into the large winnings.

I hate the system I'm in but now maybe not as much

Tell our corrupt legislature NOT to massively increase the tax hike on DraftKings, FanDuel, etc.

Oh no. They might have to cut back to a dozen commercials per sporting event.

If you win consistently, or win infrequently but big, they ban you. There is literally no chance to do anything but lose.

I’m writing to ask you to say NO to a massive 300% tax increase on legal sports betting, which would put Louisiana at the highest tax rate in the nation—as high as states like New York and Illinois. This hike will impact fans like me who just want to enjoy game day on our own terms.

This isn’t how we do things in Louisiana. Let’s keep our tax rates fair and protect our freedom to enjoy game day how we want.

Sheesh. Who wrote this?
