useless AJ Terrell as their CB1

you talking about top 20 pick AJ Terrell. The same one who was great his ENTIRE career besides against LSU. The one who had a pick six vs Tua in the national championship just the year before. That useless guy?

Jamarr Chase made EVERYONE look useless. Whether it was Diggs at Bama. Henderson at UF. Didnt matter. They weren't stopping him.

Also love this OSU had a better D than Clemson argument.. Did they really? Clemson had a top 5 defense as well. As well as a top 10 pick. and Clemson had the better QB, arguably better RB and better WRs. They were very similar teams. And neither were stopping LSU. Hell OSU struggled against Wisconsin in the 1st half just a few weeks before.

My eye test tells me Ohio State was the better team

76-5 over Miami
48-7 over Nebraska
52-3 Northwestern
73-14 Maryland
56-21 Rutgers

As a Falcons fan, yes, useless. I was stunned and pissed when they picked that bum.

Ohio State was absolutely better than Clemson and LSU fans know this. It would have been a more competitive game but LSU would have won.

Nobody was beating the 2019 team. Seriously. They were on a mission, it didn't matter who we played,

OSU had elite defensive talent that could’ve given LSU problems. Similar to the Auburn game.

Clemson didn’t have elite talent on defense?

We would have probably beaten them worse

Clemson didn't have the same caliber of corners that Ohio State had. Either of Okudah, Arnette, or Wade would have been Clemson's CB1. LSU was better than OSU, but those three guys would have made it a tougher matchup than what Clemson gave them.

We would have abused all of them.

We abused top corners and defenses all year. Auburn was anomaly but we still racked up yards, we just shite the bed in the red zone one game and a few other factors like our shite field and Auburn’s shite offense limited what we did that game. We made a Saban type move once we realized Auburn’s only chance was Derrick brown having a uf type game so we played without our foot on the gas as much.

I think LSU wins in a tighter game. I think OSU defense was better but I think LSU’s defense was better (at least at the end) than Clemson’s.

LSU 38
OSU 24

They were ok, but this wasn't 2018 Clemson. They lost their entire Dline.

But not really. Ohio State was better across the board than Clemson in terms of talent last season. There is only one position group that Clemson had the advantage in and that was at receiver.

Look I get it, LSU fans are still sour about some talking head calling Ohio State the most “complete team in the nation” before the end of October. But take your stupid off and recognize the obvious that they were better than Clemson and would have made for a more competitive matchup. You still would have won your little national title since Alabama had injuries all year, so quit melting even when you win.

It wouldn’t have mattered. LSU was going to stomp arse regardless of who it was.

Ohio State got some bad calls in their game against Clemson...and it was really the feet of Lawrence that bailed them out - not his passing.

Perhaps LSU has a stiffer test against Ohio State as Burrow was the more conventional stay in pocket QB.

I think Ohio State and Clemson could play over and over and over again and I'd bet on Ohio State but neither is beating LSU.

Ohio State just seemed they would've had a better chance.

They likely would have. OSU was better than Clemson all year and they were clearly the better team when they played them but managed to choke that game away, with a huge assist from the refs.

LSU would have beat OSU almost certainly anyway so it's all a moot point.

Bro I get you hate the AJ Terrell pick but holy frick. Arnette is not anywhere near as good as Terrell. Literally one bad game. And honestly he had a few good breakups vs Chase. The literally left him on an island all alone against the best WR since maybe Julio Jones... you get that right? And the catches he had were perfectly thrown balls where AJ was right there. It's not like he was getting burnt. But yes you know more than NFL scouts and AJ Terrell is dogshit. But Arnette over Terrell.. Give me a break.

You understand that Michigan threw for over 300 yards vs OSU right? Where were the corners then? If they have 3 incredible CBs that shouldn't be possible. Then Wisconsin and Clemson both went for over 250 in the air vs these greats corner trio of all time. Must have been the 4th corner there too huh. That's before even mentioning the 200 yards Wisc rushed for on the ground against them and the 160 Clemson did.... maybe that OSU defense really wasnt as good as some people thought.

Their last 3 games they gave up 396, 436, and 417 total yards. That really doesn't sound like the best defense in the Nation. Meanwhile LSU gave up 286, 322, and 396 yards in their final 3. Against ALL top 5 teams. Gave up less yards to Clemson while gaining 631 to OSU's 516.

LSU in their last 3 games played better offenses AND Defenses that OSU. And scored more points, gave up less points, gained more yards, and allowed less yards...

I don't even understand how this is an argument. LSU was the better team. And I don't even think it was remotely close. Better QB, better RB, better WRs, better TE, better offensive line, better linebackers and better safeties. We can give OSU the dline and I think corners was close but favoring OSU. LSU was just the better all around team. Case closed. LSU 38 OSU 17.
