If Aaron Rodgers were to retire this year would he have a better career than Drew Brees?

Rodgers- 3

Win Percentage
Brees- .601
Rodgers- .667

Playoff record
Brees- 9-9
Rodgers- 11-8

QB Rating
Brees- 97.7
Rodgers- 103.9

Total Yards/Game
Brees- 282.3
Rodgers- 276.4

Yards per Attempt
Brees- 7.6
Rodgers- 7.8

TDs per Game
Brees- 2.08
Rodgers- 2.33

INTs per Game
Brees- 0.85
Rodgers- 0.47

Is this a serious question?

Rodgers is clearly the choice here.

The only advantage for Brees is longevity. Peak Rodgers is a different level than peak Brees. Give me the guy who was clearly better over the guy who played more seasons.

I don't think many Saints fans have a problem conceding that Rodgers is better than Brees

Hell I think Rodgers is better than any QB ever, and Mahomes will be coming to take that title shortly.

Brees is great, a first ballot HOF. But Rodgers is in the argument for best QB this game's ever seen.

I already posted it in another thread. Rodgers is better than both Manning and Brady whom are both better than Brees.

I think if you're ranking all-time greats by tier, Brady/Rodgers/Manning/Brees are all in the top tier

But I'd be lying if I thought Brees absolute best is better than Rodgers absolute best, even if the gap isn't that big

I agree totally. I'd also apply that same logic to Brady though, and that's where the ringz crowd gets bent out of shape. You can't objectively watch them play and say Brady or Brees is as good of a player as Rodgers or Mahomes.

It's a team sport. Individual greatness shouldn't be measured solely on rings and it damn sure shouldn't be about something sportswriters vote on.

Cumulatively, Brees has the better numbers. But overall, to win a game or start a franchise, I would pick gay Rodgers.

If he retired now, Brees would have longevity over him big time.

I'd still take Rodgers, though.

That's the one thing I'll give to Brees. In his prime, very rarely did he not cash in on a 2 minute/end of game situation. Dude is awesome in the hurry up. He just always had a defense ready to pull a "hold my beer" right after.
