If Aaron Rodgers was pro vaccine, how differently would this board view him?

Let’s say he had spent the last week forcing his “pro vax” views on everyone instead of focusing on the game. Wouldn’t that be called out?

Just because you agree with his views doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be hammered for allowing his positions and beliefs to matter more than his team.

Also, 9-11 in the playoffs since that one SB win.

The Rodgers love/hate vacillates on this board like Taylor Swift vacillates between men.

Now that he’s lost, it seems like we’re back to hating him as much as we have at any point pre-2021.

Dude wasn’t good last night.

He gets crowned as a generational QB without the accolades and success when it matters. At some point he’s not good enough and it’s on him, not the front office.

The sideshow this week was unnecessary and he deserves all the shite he’s catching for it. He’s a me first player and his team suffers because of it.

Are you jumping for joy that a vax denier just got put out of the playoffs?

Also, I don’t believe last night had jack shite to do with his beliefs.

The vaccine doesn’t do a very good job stopping the virus, so I don’t see how it would have stopped the rush on that punt.

I don’t give a damn if you’re pro vax or anti vax. What gets me is those who agree with him don’t want to call him out for being a cancer because they agree with his views.

I can somewhat agree that the vaccine mess was a byproduct of his personality. He’s definitely a me-first player.

I still don’t believe that was the problem last night. He just wasn’t very good.

It’s not about the vaccine. It’s about how this board would react differently had the man presented a belief that goes against that of 80% here all week, then lost.

He gets a pass here when if his beliefs would have been different there would be countless threads bashing him for being selfish. Which - regardless of his stance - he’s still a selfish douchebag.

I have always viewed him as a selfish, bitch in many ways. He is occasionally right and occasionally wrong in his view of an issue. The fluctuating admiration and accolades received tie more to his independence on issues.

On the vax and his assessment of the Biden administration, he happens to be right.

I mean….Rodgers wasn’t trying to make his vaccination status public knowledge. Nosy reporters and the league are the ones who dragged this out in the open.

I’m vaccinated. I’m convinced the vaccine saves lives and reduces hospitalization. I also don’t care if someone else chooses not to take it. Maybe if we all operated like that we’d have fewer problems.

That’s a majority of TD and about 3/4 of the ‘keep politics out of sports’ crowd.

I’ve been saying this same thing lol. This board is a joke sometimes. Rodgers is set in his ways on everything he has an opinion on.

People are quick to jump on Rodgers bandwagon but must have forgotten his stance when it comes to kneeling... Rodgers along with LeBron were one of the first few ppl to call out Drew Brees...

But I guess all that’s ok now though bc we like his vaccine stance. LOL WHAT A FRICKING JOKE

I’m with you in everything you said. I just believe his week spent being the center of attention for all the wrong reasons hurt his team.

Both sides (really there are way more) are plenty guilty of narrow minded in-group/out-group tribalism. It’s 2022 and you’ve got democrats worshiping Dick Cheney, and up until the vax mandate was struck down, conservatives were whining that the US Supreme Court justices are a bunch of spineless goons.

And they’ll flip flop in a heart beat if anyone strays off the plantation. All it takes is one wrong tweet or forgetting a mask to go from CUCK to BASED AND REDPILLED AF!!!!

That said, I thought ARod would have been smarter than to be a media distraction during the playoffs. The Packers were at home in Green Bay against the shambling corpse of Jimmy Garopollo; should have been an easy win. Hard to say how much ARod’s small media circus contributed to the loss, but it certainly didn’t help. They need more guys like Davante Adams.

Don’t you think the liberal/ pro vax media made him the center of attention?

His bitching made him the center of attention. He can’t leave it alone - he has to go after the president and be the victim instead of focusing on the game.

The media is going to do what the media does. He took the bait and made it about him.
