I really don’t want to argue the semantics of this, but this is the quote from Girardi: "Sometimes just a couple days away can refresh a guy and get him back on track.” To me that is not a guy getting benched, no matter what clickbait headline some reporter in New Jersey comes up with.

Jose Altuve has been intentionally walked twice today to get to Carlos Correa.

He’s a really good hitter. I don’t think anyone here is arguing that he sucks.

He's the MVP.

Nothing personal toward you.

Which is hilarious because Correa might be one of the best power hitters in baseball. Just proves how good the lineup is.

Most Yankees fans I know don't even think Judge is the MVP. You don't get to play like shite for over a month and act like it doesn't matter because you played so well in the first half.

What else does Aluve have to do to win the MVP?

I went to Game 1. This team is rolling and will be hard to beat if the hitting continues. I'm just salty because as a Houston fan I see how the media adjusts their justification for not honoring deserving Houston athletes with MVPs, etc. and how they move the criteria goalposts every year when I know good and well if those same athletes were in different markets they would get hardware. Like others said, it's not a slam dunk for Altuve, but he's done more than enough to win the award this season and CONSISTENTLY without falling off for over a month. But Judge gets a pass because he's a Yankee.

Don't like my words? Don't call me a liar.

The 2nd place guy every year almost feels the exact same way as Altuve would if he doesn't win. Lol and your sitting over here talking like there is some bias

The Yankees have 2 mvps the last 30 years and they were both Arod who is a top 10 player all time

Dallas Keuchel won a fricking cy young 2 years ago

frickin clueless titty baby.

So baseball tradition started 30 years ago. Got it.
