El Pres at barstool has offered to pay for the bowl if someone will play them.

if you aren’t in a top tier bowl you would get so much more publicity going to a barstool sponsored bowl. It would be the biggest bowl minus New Year’s Day and CFP

Maybe I’m naive, but I think you’re overestimating barstool’s relevance.

How much is he throwing in as a payout? What venue does he have lined up? Is he covering their travel costs?

He would need a payout of at least a million per team and nearly that much for each team to cover travel, lodging, food, etc.

You are’s definitely underestimating the power of barstool. between the creative ways they handled the pandemic and now the PENN deal- I believe they have a relevance and following that makes this a legitimate consideration.

Considering I don’t know what any of this means, I think you’re overestimating it a good bit.

I’m far from a casual sports fan and I don’t consume any barstool content at all. Again, I could be naive, but I don’t think I’m that unique.

How is it possible army can’t get a bowl game but we have to watch teams like 3-7 Mississippi state and 3-4 Houston.

Someone has to play them.

The marketing alone is worth it for them. PENN is printing money lately, $5-10m for a bowl game would be worth it.

Now given Barstool's controversial history plus PENN being a gambling company, there is no way the NCAA sanctions it.

Does the NCAA sanction bowl games anyway?

I’ve listened to some before on other people’s recommendations.

If you’ve seen one pizza review, I feel like you’ve seen them all. Just really dislike Portnoy.

The other guys seem cool but their content isn’t for me.

Not sure
But the Bowl games are sanctioned by the Football Bowl association who’s now rebranded as “Bowl Season”

Also 20 of the 40 bowl games last year listed beer, liquor brands or casino companies as a sponsor or partner on their website.
