But with what he's done and how he's handled the Ezekiel Elliot situation, he's solidified himself as a gigantic piece of shite.

With what DID NOT happen with Zeke Elliot, did not happen on the football field, it didn't happen when he was in the NFL, he was never found guilty of a single thing by actual law enforcement. I'm curious, does that jackass think that his investigators are better than ACTUAL law enforcement investigators? Does he think his prosecution team is better than a DA's prosecution team?

He's a fricking clown and he will be the downfall of the NFL, and I can't wait till it comes crashing down around his ears.

And the other teams that came out and stated that "bounties" we're commonplace in the NFL?

I'm not saying that other teams don't do it, the Saints are the ones that got caught doing it. Therefore, it's hard to feel bad about it.

Caught? You have evidence of the bounty scheme the saints ran or you just trust Goodell still?

Goodell lied about "Bountygate". Straight up. Tagliabue had to get involved to sort out his mess. All suspensions rescinded.

Answer me this question... If Greg Williams & the Saints did everything they said he & they did, then how he is he still a defensive coordinator in the league at all?

I mean, there was over 18,000 pieces of evidence against the Saints in that instance.

Did you see 18000 pieces of evidence, or do you just willy nilly trust Goodell because he said so?

His investigator recommended 0 games. He just wants to make sure he has absolute power. This is going to be terrible for the league. When this CBA runs out I really think we could see a whole season missed. The players are tired of the shite Goodell is pulling and you're a clown if you think he's going to give it up.

That was Goodell's most egregious frick-up by far.

I thought the way he handled Deflategate was pretty terrible. Especially with the way he treated Tom Brady, and I'm not even a Tom Brady fan.

But you know what all those things have in common? They were done on the football field or had something to do with football.
It's amazing the mental gymnastics someone will go through to differentiate shite that happens to teams they don't care about from the shite they do care about.

Outside of the spying on practices (I refuse to indulge the stupid "gate" suffix) all of these situations showed an incredible lack of competence and fairness, and a complete disregard for evidence and truth. How a supposed CEO of a multi-billion dollar industry can show such a lack of preparedness is baffling. It would be funny if it didn't piss me off so much.

Also, why didn't you bring up the Ray Rice or Adrian Peterson situations? Both are more analogous to the Elliot one, but they don't justify your prior "indifference" and would be harder to distinguish under the guise of some sort of "logic" other than your simple subjective fandom.

Being a biased fan is fine, but just fricking own it. Don't be dense.

He basically just said, "frick it, you guys win, no suspensions."

It was obviously his worse frick up. If he truly had evidence, there's not a single thing Goodell has ever done that would make you believe he'd just cancel the suspensions "just cause"

I would just like to know if there was never any evidence or anything along the lines of that with the bounty scandal, y'all are just saying that Goodell woke up one day and said, "I think I'm gonna go after the Saints today for a bounty scandal" that's a bit of a stretch. There had to be some smoke to it for him to investigate.

Pats actually got caught filming another team's practice prior to the SB and got a slap on the wrist. Saints did a lot of tough talk and allegedly the players threw around some $ internally for big plays.

One team blatantly cheated and probably affected the outcome of the game. Hunt it wasn't the Saints. Saints were made an example bc of the concussion lawsuit that was occurring at the same time and the NFL wanted to appear tough on hard hits.

In fairness, you're saying he has 18000 pieces of evidence, never showed it to anyone, and just canceled the suspensions...for I'm not sure what reason, exactly?
