I just stumbled across “Old Timers” MLB clips on YouTube!

Little backstory here.
I can’t believe I never knew about these games. I wish I was around to watch them live back then, but I’ll settle on watching YouTube clips all day now. Here’s the homerun clip by 75-year-old Luke Appling in the inaugural 1982 game. A little short by today’s standards but I mean c’mon! That’s awesome!
They need to bring these back! You can can find some full game videos on YouTube if you search. Enjoy!

Each July from 1982 to 1985, an Old-Timers Classic, sponsored by Cracker Jack, and founded by former Braves executive Dick Cecil, was played at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.
The inaugural game, played on the evening of July 19, 1982, was particularly memorable; then-75-year-old Luke Appling connected off Warren Spahn for a home run over the fence in left field, which was at a distance of 275 feet (84 m). Other participants included Hank Aaron, Lou Brock, Bert Campaneris, Joe DiMaggio, Bob Feller, Ralph Kiner, Johnny Mize, Stan Musial, Don Newcombe, Enos Slaughter, and Early Wynn. The game was won by the American League, 7–2.

Wasn’t that the series of games that Luke Appling hit a leadoff HR off Spahn at age 75?
Should’ve read your entire post.

WGN in the early-mid 80’s broadcast some old timer games between Cubs and MLB. Those might be on YouTube as well.

After the American League won the first year, the National League went out and got Johnny Bench for the '84 series.
Bench played in the 1983 MLB all-star game and a year later is playing against 70 year olds.
I got to go to an old timer's game in the Super Dome when I was little.
