he's good, he notices shite in the lines, and calls it out. You never get that from any of the other analysts.

He does it as soon as it happens

Fantastic color analyst for anyone with a minimal football IQ. Brings a multi-layered approach to commentating that explains the game in a little more detail. Much better analyst then player.

Maybe it's just me, but ever since Romo started using RPO to describe a Run-Play option that term has spread like wildfire.

Again, maybe it's just me, but I never recall hearing that term by any commentator and now it's used several times a game by everyone.

Was he really the first guy to call it RPO?

He does it different, which is refreshing. What I really like is that he is always in the moment talking about the substance of what's going on. I absolutely hate commentators like Gary Danielson who are constantly just trying to spin a narrative or show us how smart he thinks he is.

He is the first I can recall hearing it from a commentator.

He gets a little jumpy on the play predictions but I think he does a really good job otherwise

Maybe in the NFL, but that’s been used since Gus introduced it at Auburn

He's fantastic. You can tell he enjoys it as opposed to some of these guys going through the motions.

compared to listening to grueden, hes not that bad to listen to. chuckie is even more aggravating talking so much stupid meaningless BS non-stop, then madden was up until the end when he went senile and they finally had to fire him

You have no idea what really good is man. Romo has been doing a great job. Whole lot better than most of the announcers today.
