My buddy is a pit boss in a philly casino and he told me that he kicked him out and the casino has since banned him from being able to return. In short, i believe you.

The dealer asked him if he practices blackjack. He laughed

This surprises me because he was overall a nice guy and pretty subdued considering the money he was losing.

Losing aside, did he know how to play, for the most part? Or was he making really bad plays?

I have a friend here in NC that was at one with hin one time and he said Iverson and his entourage all got kicked out. He is like the pacman Jones of basketball without all the arrests.

Harrah’s Cherokee.

He was betting side money, yes. He had no patience when it comes to blackjack.

He didn’t seem to really know what he was doing to me, but maybe his strategy is to play everything until he wins

It’s possible he was warned earlier in the night, but for the few hours or so he was at the table with me, he was pretty laid back.

I played roulette with him and his posse at the MGM National Harbor outside of DC. He was pretty quiet, while the rest of his crew were loudmouth pieces of shite.

Read an interview with his ex wife a few years back

Heartbreaking. She literally had to divorce him to have money to care for her kids. She said he was still spending money like he was about to sign another $100 million contract.

If she stayed, their family was going to be destitute.

You can tell she really loved him.

Really sad.

Ran into Dominique Wilkins at Cherokee a year or so ago. Dealer that night told us after Dominique left the table that Michael comes in from time to time apparently as well but they set up his own room for him.

What kind of hands was AI playing $ wise?

I feel like I should protect his privacy and mine in that regard, but if you’ve ever been to Harrah’s Cherokee, we were behind the glass doors in high limits.
