I can’t believe the decline of Carson Wentz

Dude has gone from legitimate MVP candidate in 2017 to, what, a bottom 5 starter?
He’s awful in every way now. It’s shocking.

Decline? He had one decent year with a good supporting cast.

He had one year, actually 3/4 of a year

Carson is still riding the coattails of a Foles championship.

That 3/4 of a season earned him the worst contract in the league so good for him

Like a white Colin kapernick/rg III

I’m pretty sure I have an awful take or two about his contract/future if anyone cares to bump some threads.

Yeah I thought he was going to be good/great for a long time if he stayed healthy. I think he can still be a good player with a better team around him but it’s as if someone told him to be Brett Favre every game. He is just so careless with the ball and tries to make an amazing play every other play.

Going into todays game
He is first among all players in interceptions (14), fumbles (10) and sacks (40), ranks 32nd in completion percentage (58.4%), 31st in yards per attempt (6.2) and has the worst off-target percentage (23%) among all qualifiers

Frank Reich made him, but honestly, he’s had no offensive line, no receivers, and barely had a rb this year. He’s not good, but he’s not as bad as his lack of support has made him look this year.

Frank Reich made him
This is the correct answer

Agreed. Looked like he would be a star

His mechanics have regressed, and wasn't accurate to begin with when they were decent. He tries to play hero ball too much because the rest of the team sucks, which...when you aren't accurate is going to frick you constantly.
And Doug Peterson refuses to call plays in a way that caters to him. Doug knows whats wrong with Wentz. And just refuses to help him.

He will never live down that Big Dick Nick won him the only SB ring he will ever see against TB.
That must eat the ginger alive.

the Eagles have a pretty rare combo of awful offensive line along with terrible skill players
they are still trotting out old arse Alshon and Deshaun Jackson as WRs 1 & 2 this year and their platoon of RBs are mediocre. Ertz was the safety net weapon of the whole offense

They should not have passed on "JETS" in the first round

He's va gamer, his line fricking sucks if you watched tonight's game and yes he's inaccurate but most of the time he's getting rid of the ball to not get sacked.
His center tonight hiked the ball 20 yards over his head and he was still able to get it and throw it away and get it called as incomplete pass, albeit the wrong call.
Watch if the Eagles put in Jalen Hurts and you will see how truly awful this Eagles offense is.

LMAO what a dumbass thread. He's playing with a bunch of dudes who will be in the XFL or Canada next year
WR - Fulgram = UDFA
WR - Ward = UDFA
WR - Hightower = Rookie 5th Rounder
TE - Rodgers = cut twice in the past year
RB - Boston Scott = Practice Squad
OL - Herbig = UDFA
OL - Mailata = 7th Rounder didnt even play college football
OL - Pryor = 6th Rounder
OL - Peters = The oldest non K/P/QB in the NFL
Thats 9/11 of their starters for most of the season the other 2 are Wentz and Kelce
There isnt a QB in NFL History who could succeed with those players

He's broken, the deterioration of his QB play is real.
